An unexpected disaster

Three-year-old Pingping experienced a life-or-death ordeal far too early.
On the day of the incident, she was playing alone at home when a fire suddenly broke out. No adults were home at the time, and the fire spread rapidly, with thick smoke blocking the exits. By the time neighbors noticed the commotion and called the fire department, and firefighters arrived, Pingping was already unconscious due to smoke inhalation and burns. This accident
completely altered the trajectory of her originally ordinary and carefree life.

Neighbors immediately rushed Pingping to a nearby hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with burns covering 80% of her body, inhalation of large amounts of toxic fumes, and severe damage to her trachea. Despite receiving emergency treatment, Pingping survived, but suffered unimaginable pain.

The story of tiny lives fighting tenaciously

In the hospital, Pingping underwent multiple intubations and emergency treatments. Each time she was intubated, her body would convulse violently, and the pain was palpable. Despite her weakness, she never gave up. Each time the doctors treated her, she would weakly tell herself, "I want to grow up quickly, to be brave, and to protect my mother." Her strength and courage moved everyone who saw her. With the help of many people, Pingping was able to undergo skin grafting surgery. However, post-surgery, due to a damaged skin barrier and weakened immunity, her skin became infected. This not only worsened the wound and delayed recovery but also negatively impacted various systems in her body, endangering her life.

The burden and helplessness of the family

Pingping's parents are both ordinary migrant workers. Her mother works at a nearby supermarket, and her father works on a construction site. They also raise two pigs. Although the family is not well-off, they have spent all their savings and even incurred debts of over 500,000 yuan to treat Pingping's illness. The medical expenses have further worsened their financial situation.

After the surgery, Pingping's skin barrier was damaged, her immunity was low, and she developed a skin infection. This not only worsened the wound and delayed her recovery, but also had negative effects on various systems in her body, endangering her life!

Pingping's maturity and courage: She is the pillar of her family

Despite enduring such immense pain, Pingping remained remarkably sensible. Whenever she ate something delicious, she would immediately share it with her mother. Even if there was a piece of meat in her mother's soup, she would let her mother eat it first. She knew that the family had spent all their money on her treatment, yet she still encouraged her mother to persevere: "I'm not afraid. I am the happiest child in the world. I will grow up quickly and protect my mother."

Pingping's strength and optimism gave her family boundless strength and made us even more convinced that this little life deserved all our help.

We take ordering takeout, buying milk tea, and casually putting things into our shopping carts for granted, but this family can't even afford a meal. To pay for a single medical bill, they borrowed money from all over the place. Pingping's little schoolbag still hangs by her bed, containing her only textbook.
